FAQ

What nationalities of students attend the school?

In our Japanese course, students are from various countries, including France, America, Italy, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Taiwan, China, UK and so on.

Please refer to the survey of student nationality in 2008.

What languages do you teach Japanese in?

We adopt direct-teaching-methods in which the teacher uses only Japanese in class. We use this method mainly in group lessons.

However, the teaching style can be adjustable for private courses and other courses. Please inquire for further information.

What qualifications and training do your teachers have?

All our teachers are experts that are trained at our Japanese Teacher’s Training Course, having studied the theory and practiced intensively on-site at our school.

We provide fascinating lesson and sophisticated course contents to students at the Sendagaya Japanese School.

How do you divide class levels?

All students must take a placement test and have an interview before they join any of the courses.

Depending on the results of the placement test and the interview, students will be placed at appropriate class levels.

What materials are used in classes?

In elementary level, our original textbook series ‘Communication Japanese’ is mainly used.

For intermediate or levels above, teachers will select suitable materials for the class.

For private lessons, we use teaching materials that are the most effective according to the needs of each individual student.

Can I apply even if I have never studied Japanese before?

Sure. Classes for total beginners are available. Please start from the first lesson of the course.

Are credit cards accepted as payment?

We are afraid that we do not accept credit cards.

Only cash and bank transfers are accepted for payment. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Who should I consult for any problem?

Please consult our teachers regarding your studies.

For other matters, please feel free to discuss with our staff, some of whom speak English, Chinese, Korean and Arabian.
